BISMARCK – In observance of this week as Severe Summer Weather Awareness Week, the North Dakota Department of Emergency Services and the National Weather Service regional offices are hosting the second-annual coloring contest. Prizes include things to keep on hand during severe weather events.

Coloring sheets and instructions can be found at NDResponse.gov. Resources including online games and a complete learning kit are also available on the website for educators and libraries.

Gov. Kelly Armstrong has proclaimed April 28-May 2 as Severe Summer Weather Awareness Week in North Dakota.
