BISMARCK – The search for Renzo Bull Head, a student at United Tribes Technical College (UTTC), is entering its third week, and with it comes a remarkable display of unity and support from the community, according to Spirit Lake Tribe Public Relations information.

On Saturday, Lisa Liken-Monroe, who endured a five-month search for her missing father, Lloyd Liken, in the Bismarck/Mandan area last year, connected with Bull Head’s family, offering her insights and experience from her own heart-wrenching journey.

“When Renzo’s case came up, I just felt an immediate connection to the family. I’m from South Dakota; they’re from South Dakota. My dad was found here, UTTC campus, at one point. I felt that I needed to be here to give back because so many people were there for us, and I wanted to do the same for another family. We fully understand the emotions that they’re going through and wanting to be here to help them and help support them,” Liken-Monroe said.

On Sunday, Liken-Monroe collaborated with local community member and drone operator Jennifer Krause, along

with staff from the MHA Emergency Operations Center, to enhance the search efforts through aerial surveillance. The family

continues to be overwhelmed by the outpouring of compassion and solidarity from individuals and organizations,

reinforcing the idea that tragedy can unite people in extraordinary ways.

UTTC President Dr. Leander McDonald expressed gratitude for the community’s involvement, saying, “We are pleased to see the support for Renzo Bull Head’s family. This search has been family-led from the start, and we are honored to assist by serving as the incident command center. We are dedicated to finding our relative and student.”

The search incident command remains at the United Tribes Technical College campus, where volunteers and community

members are encouraged to assist and provide support. Tribal leader Kooper Longie from the Spirit Lake Tribe visited the

campus over the weekend to extend his support to the Bull Head family. Additionally, the Minnesota Missing and Murdered

Indigenous Relatives Office joined the search efforts on Sunday and MHA Emergency Operations Center assisted with

incident command coordination over the weekend, showcasing the collective commitment to finding Renzo.

The search will continue through the week of March 31-April 6. Community members can follow updates on the

family’s official social media. A GoFundMe campaign has been established to support the family’s search efforts, highlighting the determination to find Bull Head, no matter how long it takes.

The Mandan Police Department has also encouraged the public to aid in the search by submitting any helpful tips, including

through its anonymous reporting app. Its social media said, “We welcome any information that could assist us in

locating Renzo. This is a critical time, and every piece of information counts. Case number: 25000954.”

Starting at $2.99/week.
