TIOGA – The National Rural Health Association (NRHA) has awarded Tioga Medical Center a 2025 Top 20 Best Practices in Quality designation, a distinction that recognizes the healthcare facility for outstanding quality of care. This is the second consecutive year TMC has received this recognition.

Tioga Medical Center scored among the best of more than 1,300 Critical ACcess Hospitals in the nation, as determined by the Chartis Center for Rural Health Quality INDEX. All hospitals in the INDEX study were evaluated across rural-relevant process of care measures. An awards ceremony will be held during NRHA’s Critical Access Hospital Conference in September in Kansas City, Missouri.

“This recognition is a true testament to our mission — to provide compassionate, high-quality, and comprehensive healthcare services tailored to the unique needs of our rural community,” said Jamie Eraas, Tioga Medical Center president and CEO, in a news release. “Saying I’m proud of our staff is an understatement; their passion for what they do is unmatched, and it’s truly inspiring to witness their incredible work each day.”

Tioga Medical Center previously received this award in 2024 and 2015.
