Three juveniles injured in UTV crash in Crosby
CROSBY – Three juveniles were injured in a utility task vehicle (UTV) rollover crash in Crosby on Thursday.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, at 3:53 p.m., a 2011 Polaris UTV (side by side) was turning south from First Avenue Southeast onto Main Street in Crosby. As the UTV was turning south onto Main Street, the driver, a 12-year-old female, accelerated and lost control. The UTV tipped over onto the passenger side while still sliding on the roadway.
The driver was ejected and two 13-year-old females from Crosby were also injured in the crash, according to the Highway Patrol. The driver was transported to a Minot hospital, and both passengers were transported to a Crosby hospital.
The driver and passengers were not wearing helmets and were not using seatbelts, according to the Highway Patrol. The Highway Patrol said charges against the driver are pending.
