Process set for candidates for Minot mayor

Candidate packets are available at the Minot City Clerk’s office at City Hall for individuals interested in running for mayor. Minot will host a special election on Aug. 5.

Candidates may begin gathering signatures on Saturday, May 3, which is 30 days before the special election filing deadline on Monday, June 2, at 4 p.m. Candidates must collect at least 300 signatures of qualified City of Minot voters who live inside city limits and are 18 or older.

Signatures will be verified by the city auditor and city clerk.
