Officers from the Minot Police Department and emergency responders were dispatched to 11th Avenue Southwest between Jim Hill Middle School and First District Health Unit for a pedestrian-vehicle collision on Monday about 7:50 a.m., according to Minot Police information.

A 14-year-old pedestrian was struck by an eastbound pickup truck and sustained non-life threatening injuries. The investigation determined the pedestrian was crossing outside a designated crosswalk, and the driver was affected by severe sun glare which affected the ability to stop suddenly.

The incident remains under investigation.
