ND launches State Data Hub

BISMARCK – North Dakota is taking a significant step forward in leveraging the power of data with the launch of the official North Dakota “State Data Hub,” according to the North Dakota Information Technology, which is spearheading the initiative.

The State Data Hub will serve as a centralized platform to collect and disseminate reliable, up-to-date information from multiple sources. By providing access to accurate and timely data, this initiative will enable better planning and decision-making across all sectors.

Initially, the hub will feature dashboards and data provided by the North Dakota Department of Commerce’s State Data Center, offering insights into demographics, economic development and socioeconomic factors. Over time, the hub will expand to include additional data and resources from other state agencies, further enhancing easy access to data for decision-makers and the public.

The development of the Data Hub is a key component of the Statewide Data Strategy, an NDIT-led initiative established in 2022.

“The State Data Hub enables agencies to collaborate with the use of trusted data — essential to creating a government that is not just efficient, but also responsive to the needs of its citizens. The Data Hub is a transformational leap in the right direction, making government work better for everyone,” said NDIT Chief Data Officer Kim Weis.
