Missing man table on display

The missing man table, honoring Vietnam veterans, is again on display at Pizza Ranch in Minot.

The restaurant is encouraging customers to participate in the annual Minot Wreaths Across America program in remembrance of the 198 North Dakota Vietnam Fallen Heroes during this year’s 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War (1975-2025).

Visitors are invited to help hang a gold snowflake and dog tag to the tree by leaving a donation marked “Wreaths Across America” near the cashier counter. For every $17 dollars donated, a gold snowflake with dog tag will be displayed on the tree. Last year 62 wreaths were sponsored. This year the goal is 200.

The special table is a thank you to all those who served during Vietnam and have returned back home to their families, and those who did not, according to the Pizza Ranch and Richard Reuer, a Marine/Navy veteran from Minot who provided the display.

“For while they were serving their country far from home, they were not forgotten. Always remembering that God knew their challenges, the dangers, and the uncertainties they had to face every day. And that in His Word, He offered them promises of hope, courage, healing and more. They were God’s gifts given to them during the fight. For only two defining forces have ever offered to die for us: Jesus Christ and the American Soldier. One died for our soul; the other for our freedom,” a news release stated.

Starting at $2.99/week.
