March had average temp of 30.3 degrees
The average temperature this past month of March was 30.3 degrees, which is 5.8 degrees above the 118-year, long-term average of 24.5 degrees, according to Austin Kraklau of the North Central Research Extension Center, south of Minot.
“Our lowest temperature of the month was 10 degrees, which occurred on March 16. The high was 57 degrees, which occurred on both the 21st and 28th,” Kraklau said.
He said the total moisture for the month was 0.29 inches, which is 0.43 inches below the long- term average of 0.72 inches.
The snow total for the month was 1.6 inches, which is 4.8 inches below the long-term average of 6.4 inches, Kraklau said.
