House fire in southeast Minot causes significant damage
Minot Fire Department crews responded to a report of a house fire in southeast Minot on Monday morning, which caused significant damage to the home.
According to a news release from the Minot Fire Department, crews responded to a report of a house fire at 1028 Valley Street at 9:35 a.m. Prior to arrival, Minot Central Dispatch advised responding crews that the sole occupant had safely exited the residence and was uninjured.
Upon arrival, firefighters from Station 2 observed smoke and flames coming from the rear of the home. Station 2 arrived on scene in just 2 minutes and 25 seconds and immediately began fire suppression efforts.
Crews from all five stations responded to the scene, working together to bring the fire under control. While the damage to the property was significant, it could have been much worse without the department’s quick response, according to the news release.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation according to the information.
