Advanced students with the Rinat Mouzafarov Institute of Dance and Ballet Theatre will be performing in the Western Plains Opera’s production of “Oliver” on Friday and Saturday, April 11 and 12.

Three male and nine female dancers will perform in the market place scene in the second act of the musical.

Mouzafarov, who created the choreography, said the students have been putting in extra practices for about a month in preparation. The studio’s dancers have performed previously with local opera productions.

Show times for “Oliver” are 7 p.m. both days in Ann Nicole Nelson Hall on the Minot State University campus. The musical is directed by Seth Honerman and conducted by Abbie Eads. This engagement is supported by the Arts Midwest GIG Fund, a program of Arts Midwest, and the North Dakota Council on the Arts. Tickets can be obtained from the opera company in advance or at the door.

Starting at $2.99/week.
