Annual music event to rock community

The annual Community Rocks! is back for its 10th show since 2015, featuring the Community Rocks orchestra and guest singers. Hometown favorite Dakotah Faye will be among those to take the stage Saturday in the Clarion Coliseum in the Clarion Hotel & Convention Center.

Community Rocks! combines the best rock ‘n roll from the 1950s to today, performed by the Community Rocks! Orchestra. The primary beneficiary for this year’s event is the F5 Project of Minot, according to a release from the Community Rocks! board.

Doors open at 5 p.m., with appetizers, games and prizes. Music starts at 7 p.m

A live auction will feature signature items such as a private dinner at the Roosevelt Park Zoo, hot air balloon ride, a behind the scenes tour and activities at Atypical Brewery & Barrelworks and a signed guitar from Grace Slick of Jefferson Airplane.

Tickets can be obtained through the Community Rocks website or at Prairie Sky Breads.

Community Rocks! Is dedicated to delivering performance arts events that improve the community and to supporting a different nonprofit partner each year. Since 2015, Community Rocks! has had an economic impact of nearly $750,000 in the community by donating to local nonprofits.

Starting at $2.99/week.
