FARGO — Former state senator Erin Oban, representing North Dakotans for Public Schools, will be the featured speaker at Amplify North Dakota, a virtual event to be held Saturday, April 19.

Oban will address a wave of proposals in the North Dakota Legislature that aim to redirect public education funds toward private school tuition through education savings accounts. One such proposal carries an estimated cost of nearly a quarter of a billion dollars.

Oban will outline the implications of the proposed legislation, its potential impact on public school funding and how North Dakotans can respond.
