Spring Fever Garden Forums begin March 24
The Ward County Extension office is offering a series of gardening workshops on Monday nights from March 24-April 14. The workshops are free.
The Spring Fever Garden Forums run from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and will be held at the Ward County Extension office building at 900 13th St. SE, Minot.
The first night will have presentations on saving money at garden centers, growing daylilies and designing flower gardens to attract pollinators.
As a bonus, all participants at the first workshop will receive a seed starting kit that includes free tomato and pepper seeds.
The seeds are the highest quality available. They include a new orange cherry tomato with fruity flavor, a delicious beefsteak that resists diseases, a pink heirloom tomato with famous flavor, and a small tomato with flaming stripes.
Pepper seeds include an early ripening bell pepper, a super productive frying pepper, and a very delicious yellow bell pepper.
More vegetable and flower seeds will be provided at subsequent workshops.
To register for the workshop go to ndsu.ag/springfever25. Registration is requested for in person attendees to ensure enough seed starting kits will be available. Contact Emily How at NDSU-Ward Extension for more information.
