NDDEQ to offer webinar on lead, copper rule
BISMARCK. – The North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality (NDDEQ) will host a public webinar on Tuesday, April 8, at 4 p.m. to educate residents on the upcoming new Lead and Copper Rule and its impact on communities across the state.
The Lead and Copper Rule aims to protect public health by reducing exposure to lead and copper in drinking water. During the webinar, NDDEQ Environmental Scientist Sandi Washek will outline the objectives of the rule and discuss important topics such as the risks associated with lead, the requirements for identifying and replacing lead and copper service lines, and how the state is working to ensure safer drinking water for all residents.
The webinar will cover the following key points:
Residents are encouraged to participate and learn more about how this rule will affect them, their families and their communities. There will also be an opportunity following the presentation for attendees to ask questions.
