PALERMO – A 21-year-old man from Kenmare died in a vehicle rollover near Palermo early Sunday.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the man was driving a 2019 Volvo semi hauling a tanker trailer and traveling south on 73rd Avenue Northwest, north of Palermo, when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road near 66th Street Northwest. The semi entered the ditch and rolled. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred about 12:30 a.m. His name was not released at this time.

The driver was not wearing a seat belt, according to the Highway Patrol.

The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
