City responds to water main break
City of Minot employees responded to a water main break in northwest Minot Saturday that affected about 20 homes.
The line break in the 400 block of 17th Street Northwest was called in just before 7 a.m. by a resident of the area, according to the city Utilities Department. Once all utilities were located through One Call, the repairs were made. Water was restored about 2:30 p.m.
The department reported the cast iron pipe is more than 70 years old and has deteriorated and weakened.
