Change in veterans sponsoring caregivers onto Minot AFB
MINOT AIR FORCE BASE – An Air Force policy that Veteran Health Identification Card (VHIC) holders could not sponsor their caregivers onto Minot Air Force Base has been reversed.
According to Minot AFB information, the policy was revised this week and VHIC holders now can sponsor their caregivers
Sponsored personnel 18 years of age or older must establish identity and verify fitness in accordance with Department of Defense and Department of the Air Force policy by stopping at the visitor center during their first visit to the installation. This is the usual check for visitors being sponsored onto base.
The new policy is in effect at Minot AFB as of Thursday.
