A four-session free book study on childhood trauma will be held online on Mondays in April from noon-1 p.m. and 6-7 p.m. North Dakota State University Extension and Flourish North Dakota are providing registration, the book and workbook to participants at no cost.

“What Happened to You?” by Oprah Winfrey and Dr. Bruce Perry is a book that explores the profound impact of childhood trauma on brain development, behavior and overall health, delving into the science behind how adverse experiences can shape our lives while also offering insights into pathways to resilience and healing. The book features personal stories from Winfrey about her own childhood trauma, aiming to raise awareness and encourage understanding of the effects of trauma on individuals and society as a whole.
