Good Vibes team wins award at state LEGO robotics event
Minot’s Good Vibes robotics team, supported and organized by Full Steam Ahead, won the Breakthrough Award at the state LEGO robotics tournament held in Grand Forks on Saturday, according to Full Steam Ahead information.
Ali Auch and Jeremy Almond were the coaches for the team.
The award celebrates a team that made significant progress in their confidence and capability in both the Robot Game and Innovation Project and are a shining example of excellent Core Values. They demonstrate that they understand that what they discover is more important than what they win.
Good Vibes was one of four Minot teams competing at the state tournament. The other Minot teams competing were 6 Flying Sharks, Barracudas and the Sea Lions.
On Tuesday, the Good Vibes team held a free robotics camp for girls ages 8-14 at the Full Steam Ahead Studio in Minot. Thirteen participants learned how to program a robot.
