Hundreds of future nurses gathered at the Grand Hotel in Minot for the annual conference, “Pulse of the Profession,” on Jan. 31-Feb. 1.
During the conference nursing students met members of the community who work in the medical field, learned from professionals in multiple break out sessions, and met other nurses from across the state
Speakers such as Jill Johnson NDSU, Jonnica Norick, Bismarck, and Melinda Howe, Minot, were among speakers sharing the knowledge that they have gained in the field.
Awards were also given out to the Student Nurse of the year, Emily Morman, NDSU; Educator of the Year, Julie Ketterling, NDSU; and the Leadership award, Hannah Hagen, Minot State University.
“The students are nominated for the Student Nurse of the Year award. Their school will nominate the student for the award and from there it is voted on by the advisory board.” said Lynette Silbernagel, faculty adviser for the board.
