Benefit set for injured snowmobiler
MAX – A benefit snowmobile run will be held Saturday for Brekken Bachmeier of Minot, who was severely injured in a snowmobile accident on Jan. 25.
Proceeds from the benefit will go directly to Bachmeier to help with medical costs, missed work, etc., according to Sakakawea Fence Stretchers Trail Association, hosts of the benefit.
The ride will start and end in Max, with registration there Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m., followed by the ride at 10:45 a.m. The ride will make stops in Douglas and Benedict. The event will include a silent auction and door prizes.
There is no entry fee but a generous donation is requested in lieu of the entry fee.
Bachmeier’s family has set up the Brekken Bachmeier Fund at First Western Bank, 900 S. Broadway, Minot. Donations for Bachmeier also can be made to the Sakakawea Fence Stretchers donation account at any TruCommunity Bank or Cornerstone Bank.
