Summer creative writing camps scheduled
FARGO – The seventh annual Teen Creative Writing Camp will be held in June and July at North Dakota State University.
There will be four sessions:
– Students entering grades 4-6, June 16-20 and July 23-27, both 9 a.m.-noon.
– Students entering grades 7-12, June 23-27 and July 28-Aug. 1, both 9 a.m.-4 p.m., with virtual options.
All students are welcome. Students will be exposed to a wide variety of writing genres, including horror, fantasy world building, poetry, journalism, song writing, memoir, flash fiction, writing scholarship essays, etc. All instructors are professional writers or educators. It is a very diverse setting where all students can embrace their unique voices and grow in experience and confidence.
Full and half scholarships are available. Registration includes instruction, supplies, a camp T-shirt, lunches and snacks. For registration information, contact jamee.larson@ndsu.edu or the NDSU English Department.
