Minot man injured in snowmobile crash

MAX – A Minot man was injured when the snowmobile he was driving crashed near Max on Saturday.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, about 3:30 p.m., the 21-year-old man, driving a 2015 Polaris 700 RMK snowmobile, was traveling north in the west ditch near the intersection of U.S. Highway 83 and 21st Street Northwest, about 7 miles south of Max. The driver hit an embankment and then vaulted off 21st Street Northwest, where the snowmobile crashed. He was transported by ambulance to a Minot hospital. The driver was wearing a helmet.

The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
