Minot airport shares in FAA grants in ND
Minot International Airport will receive more than $420,000 to support construction of a new storm sewer in a Federal Aviation Administration award announced Wednesday by Sen. John Hoeven, R-ND.
Hoeven announced the FAA also awarded $444,000 for International Peace Garden Airport near Dunseith to rehabilitate the South Apron pavement, nearly $200,000 for Carrington Municipal Airport to reconstruct runway lighting and nearly $200,000 for Devils Lake Regional Airport to reconstruct its existing airfield storm sewer inlets.
The largest award was nearly $4 million to Hector International Airport in Fargo in support of its Terminal Expansion Project. Hutson Field in Grafton also received $585,000 to construct a new hangar.
The funds are made available under the Airport Infrastructure Grant program. The recent award comes as the latest in Hoeven’s efforts to fulfill the project’s federal cost share for Fargo’s terminal expansion, having secured more than $39 million for the effort to date.
