Local students take part in First Tech Challenge competition
Bishop Ryan Catholic School hosted a qualifying event for the First Tech Challenge on Jan. 18-19 with 10 teams from schools in the region competing to appear at the state level competition.
FTC is a global robotics competition where students and their mentors design and build robots to tackle various challenges. The teams program classroom-scale robots to follow autonomous commands, and also take direct control in two-on-two alliance matches.
Four teams competing at the event qualified for the state level competition, including Inspiring Minds Robotics of Bismarck, the Comets of Alexander Public School, The Bot Patrol of Wilton and Rogue Robots of Minot.
