Tank overflow causes spill near Maxbass
MAXBASS – A tank overflow occurred on Saturday at the Stratton C CTB well, about 6.6 miles northwest of Maxbass, according to the North Dakota Oil and Gas Division.
Scout Energy Management LLC reported Saturday that 8,400 gallons of crude oil and 3,360 gallons of produced water were released on location. At the time of reporting 4,200 gallons of crude oil and 2,520 gallons of produced water had been recovered.
A N.D. Oil and Gas inspector has been to the location and will monitor the investigation and remediation.
