Missouri man sentenced for narcotics delivery
A Missouri man has been sentenced to serve 10 years in state prison after entering guilty pleas to three felony counts related to the delivery of narcotics.
Jerry Charles Williams, 44, Carthage, Mo., entered a change of plea in North Central District Court on Tuesday, pleading guilty to delivery of controlled substance-methamphetamine-50 grams or more, a Class A felony; possession with intent to manufacture/deliver-fentanyl and delivery of a controlled substance-fentanyl, both Class B felonies.
According to court documents, the Ward County Narcotics Task Force conducted two controlled purchases for M30 fentanyl pills and two ounces of methamphetamine on Aug. 7 from an individual later identified as Williams. Williams was arrested in a pharmacy parking lot on Aug. 15, and a search of his vehicle located approximately 100 M30 fentanyl tablets.
District Judge Stacy Louser sentenced Williams to serve 20 years with the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation for the Class A felony, with 10 years suspended and three years of supervised probation upon release. Louser sentenced Williams to a suspended sentence of 10 years for the Class B felonies, with three years of supervised probation to be completed consecutively with the first count.
Williams was ordered to complete a chemical dependency evaluation and was assessed $375 in restitution and $1,825 in court fines and fees.
