Driver from fatal crash identified
WILLISTON — The driver who died in a fatal single vehicle crash in Williams County on Dec. 13 has been identified by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
According to information released by the Highway Patrol, Clyde Petty, 66, Williston, was driving a 2011 Ford F-150 on Highway 1804 near mile marker 310 the morning of Dec. 13 and left the roadway into a ditch before the vehicle vaulted over a field approach.
Petty sustained injuries from the crash and was transported to a Williston hospital but was later transferred to a hospital in Bismarck. Petty died on Dec. 16 due to injuries sustained in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation, according to the release from the Highway Patrol.
