Victim of crash near New Town identified

NEW TOWN – The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified the victim of a two-vehicle crash in the New Town area on Tuesday.

Rance Bennett, 43, El Dorado, Kansas, driver of a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado pickup, died in the crash.

According to the Highway Patrol, Bennet’s vehicle was eastbound on N.D. Highway 23, about 14 miles west of New Town, when it rear ended a 2012 Kenworth truck, driven by Augustin Munoz, 34, Westport, Washington. The Kenworth was also eastbound. Munoz was not injured.
