A Minot man has been arrested and charged with luring a minor over social media, according to a release from the City of Minot.

According to city information, Minot Police executed a search and arrest warrant for Benjamin Lawrence Berg, 35, Minot Friday morning. Berg was allegedly communicating with a juvenile on a social media app and has been charged with luring minors by computers or other electronic means, a Class C felony.

The investigation is ongoing, according to the release, and Berg has been transported to the Ward County Jail. Berg’s initial appearance in North Central District Court has not yet been scheduled based on court records.
