ND GOP elects legislative leaders
BISMARCK – Senate Majority Leader David Hogue, R-Minot, and House Majority Leader Mike Lefor, R-Dickinson, have been reelected to their legislative leadership positions for the upcoming North Dakota legislative session.
Republican legislators recently elected their leaders at a caucus in Bismarck.
Sen. Jerry Klein, Fessenden, was reelected Senate assistant majority leader and Sen. Kristin Roers, Fargo, was reelected majority caucus leader.
In the House of Representatives, Rep. Glenn Bosch, Bismarck, was reelected assistant House majority leader and Rep. Jeremy Olson, Arnegard, was elected majority caucus leader. Rep. Robin Weisz, a Hurdsfield farmer and businessman, was selected House Speaker. Weisz has been a member of the House since 1997, serving as chairman of the Human Services Committee for the past eight sessions.
