Lille Julaften, or Little Christmas Eve, is the celebration before the celebration in Norway.

Sons of Norway-Thor Lodge invites the community to learn how Norwegians celebrate Christmas on Sunday, Dec. 1, at the Scandinavian Heritage Center, lower level, located at 1020 S. Broadway. The event begins at 2 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

Sju Slags Kaker or seven sorts of cookies will be for sale, and there will be Christmas craft making for the children.
