Air base reapplies for wastewater permit
MINOT AIR FORCE BASE – The North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality has issued a notice of its intention to reissue a Pollutant Discharge Elimination System discharge permit through December 2029 to the U.S. Air Force, Minot.
The reapplication is for six wastewater stabilization ponds servicing Minot Air Force Base. Any discharge would be to an unnamed drainage of Egg Creek. Proposed effluent limitations and other permit conditions have been made by the department to ensure state water quality standards and other provisions of the Federal Clean Water Act are met.
Public comments should be directed to the Department of Environmental Quality by Dec. 20.
