Ribbon-cutting scheduled for city transit center
The City of Minot’s new downtown transit center will host an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, Oct. 7, at 2:15 p.m. The transit center is located at 205 1st St. SW, on the west side of the Renaissance Parking structure near City Hall.
The center, which opened on Sept. 23, includes a lobby, restrooms, transit ticket vending machines and a lounge area for drivers, according to a news release from the city.
“It’s been a smooth transition to our new location in downtown Minot,” Transit Superintendent Brian Horinka said in the release. “It’s a more convenient facility for both our passengers and our drivers, and we’ve already gotten good feedback from many of our riders who are happy with our new center.”
Buses will continue to operate from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. The transit center office will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
