ND County auditors receive Hero Award
BISMARCK – North Dakota Secretary of State Michael Howe has named the North Dakota County Auditors Association as the recipient of the 2024 North Dakota Election Hero Award, according to a news release. The honor was presented Oct. 21 during the opening session of the North Dakota Association of Counties Annual Conference.
“We would not be able to hold North Dakota elections without the hard work and dedication of our state’s county auditors,” Howe said in the release. “The County Auditors Association gives them the opportunity to have conversations and support each other as they administer North Dakota’s elections securely and with integrity.”
The North Dakota Election Hero Award was created in honor of National Election Hero Day, which celebrates the importance of election teams, poll workers, state leaders and the many people who work to provide safe, secure, and accessible elections. This is the second year the award has been presented in North Dakota.
