ND State Parade winners announced

Ben Pifher/MDN West Minot Church of God was recipient of the Flickertail Award for this year’s North Dakota State Parade.

Winners of the North Dakota State Parade were announced at an awards ceremony Tuesday.

They are as follows:

– Grand Marshal Award: First Western Bank & Trust

– Flickertail Award: West Minot Church of God

– Heritage Award: Magic City Electric

Eloise Ogden/MDN The Minot North Cheer Team was awarded the Youth Sweepstakes Award for its unit in the North Dakota State Parade.

– North Dakota State Fair Award: North American Coal

– Pioneer Award: BNSF Railway

– Roughrider Award: Minot Trail Riders

– Chairman’s Award: Bronzed & Bladed

– Youth Sweepstakes Award: Minot North Cheer Team

– Parade Committee Award: Gene-O’s Septic

– Governor’s Award: Realty ONE Group Magnum

– Dakota Proud Award: Minot Walk to End Alzheimer’s

– Lewis & Clark Award: Western North Dakota Honor Flight

The parade was held in Minot Saturday. All entries in the parade are not judged but only those requesting to be judged.

The Grand Marshal Award is a traveling trophy. Award winners received plaque awards.

Theme of this year’s parade was “XTRA! XTRA! North Dakota Hot News” celebrating the importance of newspapers to communities.

: Kari Gibb/MDN Chaos erupted with the horn to start the 2024 MHA Indian Relay Final at the NDSF at the Minot fairgrounds on Tuesday, July 22.

: Ben Pifher/MDN First Western Bank & Trust’s unit in the North Dakota State Parade focused on the parade theme, “XTRA! XTRA! North Dakota Hot News.” The entry earned the Grand Marshal Award, a traveling trophy.

: Eloise Ogden/MDN The Minot North Cheer Team was awarded the Youth Sweepstakes Award for its unit in the North Dakota State Parade.
