Today is National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day.

Crumble Cookie, a cookie business in Bismarck, doesn’t have anything planned to celebrate the special cookie day today but plans are being made to open another location in Minot in the fall.

Colton Nunley and Carey and Dayton Nunley, owners of the Bismarck Crumble Cookie business, will open Minot’s Crumble Cookie at a location between TJ Maxx and Home Goods.

Colton Nunley has nine stores in Minnesota, two in South Dakota, and with Minot’s new location, West Fargo and Bismarck, that makes 14 stores.

Parker Larson, manager at Bismarck’s Crumble Cookie, said they are hoping for a September or October opening.

Crumble Cookie always has its famous Chocolate Chip cookie on the menu as well as the chilled sugar cookie. Other than the two staple cookies, Crumble Cookie has over 200 cookie designs the stores rotate out weekly, with six confections to choose from each week.

The Crumble Cookie offers catering trays of mini and regular-sized cookies starting at $62, a 12-pack of cookies at $32, 6-packs at $18, 4-packs at $12 and one very large, regular-sized cookie at $3.94, said Larson. Larson said some of the favorite cookie flavors are German chocolate cake, banana bread, Oreo and birthday cake flavors.

Crumble Cookie has milk on hand as well as other beverages and ice cream called Crumble Cream, specific to the Crumble Cookie brand that is also rotating seasonal flavors rather than weekly, said Larson. The Crumble Cream flavors this season are vanilla bean, snickerdoodle, peanut butter brittle, cookie dough crunch and brownie fudge.
