Bakken Summer Rides canceled
Due to rising concerns surrounding the coronavirus, all three Bakken Summer Rides have been canceled, Bakken Backers announced on Friday.
“Your health and safety is our utmost concern and we value your support,” said organizers.
The Bakken Summer Rides were planned for July and August as a way to explore various stops in western North Dakota by motorcycle, classic car or your daily commuter, and by boat.
The first ride was to begin in Minot on Saturday, July 25, with stops at Lake Metigoshe and Mouse River State Park.
Bakken Backers is a coalition of businesses, leaders, workers, and citizens who support the Bakken and its benefit to North Dakota.
Participants and partners for the event included North Dakota Petroleum Council, NewKota Services & Rentals, Hams Well Service, ThruTubing Solutions, Brosz Engineering, Stonehome Brewing and Medora Foundation.
