VALLEY CITY – Three young women, including two from the Minot area, were selected March 7 to represent the North Dakota Winter Show in Valley City.
Lindsey Miller, Flaxton, was selected as the 2020 Miss North Dakota Winter Show Queen. Ayla Hovland, Fargo,was chosen as the 2020 Miss Junior North Dakota Winter Show. Maysa Hanna, Berthold, was crowned as the 2020 Miss North Dakota Winter Show Princess.
Miller, 19, is a 2019 graduate of Kenmare High School. A freshman at Dickinson State University, she is studying agriculture education with a minor in agriculture business. She was on the Dickinson State President’s List in the fall of last year and competes in barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying and breakaway roping. She is the daughter of Steve and Denise Miller.
Hovland, 15, participates in 4-H, hippology, Family Career and Community Leaders of America, high school ministry and horse shows. She is the daughter of Davy Hovland and Lana Feeley.
Maysa, 12, is a student at Lewis and Clark Elementary School. She is a county spelling bee qualifier and a four-time math track meet team member. She is the daughter of Ryan and Susan Hanna.
