Change of Fair Parade route at fairgrounds
The route of the North Dakota State Fair Parade at the fairgrounds has changed. The change was done for a better traffic flow according to Jim Clifford, parade chairman.
After the parade goes through the fairgrounds then it will leave the fairgrounds using the gate north of Commercial 2. (In past years the parade left the fairgrounds using the east gate behind Commercial 2.)
Then at Fourth Avenue NE the parade will go east to 27th Avenue or County Road 19 and then on Fourth Avenue SE, east to additional parking or to the east of the Wilbur-Ellis Building. There those in the parade can park or those picking up parade participants can meet them there.
County Road 19 (27th Avenue) from Burdick will be two-lane traffic north to the fairgrounds parking entrance same as done for concerts. This will be from 10:15 a.m. to the end of the parade on Saturday, July 20.
From Railway Avenue south to Fourth Avenue NE no traffic will be allowed from 10:15 a.m. to the end of the parade.
The parade will begin Saturday, July 20, at 9:15 a.m. at Broadway and Burdick. It will reach the fairgrounds at about 10 a.m.
