New North Prairie water tower

Eloise Ogden/MDN A new 300,000-gallon water tank stands south of Minot. North Prairie Rural Water District erected the tower at the corner of Ward County Road 18 and U.S. Highway 83 to enhance the district’s ability to provide water storage for its southern service area, which extends to Plaza and Ryder, and fire protection in the growth area south of Minot. A new 10-mile water pipeline also was installed and is operational. The water tower is expected to become operational this fall. The tower will be painted light blue with dark blue lettering featuring the logo NP and a water teardrop.
