New providers join Trinity Health
Two physicians have joined Trinity Health in the specialties of cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery.
Dr. Rauf Subla is an interventional cardiologist, fellowship trained in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular medicine, critical care medicine, and heart failure/transplantation. He received his interventional cardiology training at Duke University. He did fellowships in critical care medicine and cardiovascular diseases at Mayo Clinic and completed a fellowship in heart failure/transplantation medicine at Cleveland Clinic.
Prior to joining Trinity Health, Subla was a senior associate consultant in the Division of Cardiology and a consultant in the Division of Critical Care Medicine at Mayo Clinic. He still holds an assistant professorship at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science and serves as a director for the Society of Critical Care Medicine’s Fundamentals Courses.
Dr. Michael Savitt is a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon with over 20 years of experience performing coronary bypass, valve surgery and cancer surgeries of the lung and esophagus. A Milwaukee native, he earned his medical degree and Master of Science in Engineering from Duke University and completed his surgical residency at the University of California at San Francisco. He accomplished his cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at the University of Minnesota and later returned to Duke for a clinical lung transplant sabbatical.
Savitt has practiced at heart and lung centers in the Midwest, most recently at IU Ball Memorial Hospital/Indiana University School of Medicine.
