Soprano to perform in Minot
Vibrant classical crossover soprano Barbara Padilla will be performing at Ann Nicole Nelson Hall at Minot State University on Friday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m.
Doors will open 30 minutes in advance with no reserve seating. Single-event tickets are available for $30 for adults and $15 for students at the door, by calling 838-1113 or on the International Artist Series website at minotconerts.org. Born and raised in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, Padilla, is celebrated globally as “America’s Angel.” Padilla first caught the attention of the world when she finished as the first runner-up on Season 4 of “America’s Got Talent.”
Classically trained at the School of Music of the Universidad de Guadalajara and the University of Houston Moores School of Music, Padilla’s natural talent and musical knowledge make her one of the best female vocalists in modern history. Her repertoire features renditions of songs such as “A Time For Us,” “No Tengas Miedo,” “Besame Mucho” and “Granada.”
