"Why not have Cindy Hemphill just run the city from her office and not fill the city manager position because it is a fluff job for some white guy to bring home a big paycheck?"

The office of mayor is a part-time position. It would be great if Minot got a hands on manager. It would change our perspective of the office. However, I am not sure that the council and those who are selecting the person for city manager want a hands on in charge type of person in that position.

: Agree. We r a flood city. Which mayor gave us real flood control--none! Then tell us to hurry up and rebuild after ignoring our flood potential for 41 years? I'm willin 2 pay 4 a statesman--not a puppet.

I am in favor of saving the money and not filling the position.

There's the relief.
