Y'know, factcheck . org is a fine website. I had referenced a different website, realclearpolitics, which usually runs up-to-date poll results. Have you heard of that one, willgrr?

When one speaks of politics in monolithic terms, one usually says "you Republicans" or "you Democrats" implying that ALL Republicans or ALL Democrats are in total lockstep with ALL others in their party, for every move made by the party in every locale.

So much for diversity, willgrr. AS IF I, a faraway NoDak, was jumping for joy over liberal policies in Massachusetts. Get real...

willgrr, what part about Obamacare or its website do you consider "yet another successful program that helps millions of Americans?"

You're out of touch with many, many of your fellow citizens.

Latest realclearpolitics poll average for "public approval of health care law"...

37.6% approve 54.5% disapprove

Even though partisan Democrats would love to accomplish it, Republicans can't be blamed for Obamacare's passage or feckless implementation.

You must be admitted by your primary Physician in order for Medicare to pay for it! If you are admitted by an emergency room doctor it is treated as outpatient care where hospital costs are not covered.

YOU ARE NOT GOING TO LIKE THIS... At age 76 when you most need it, you are not eligible for cancer treatment* see page 272.

Page 50/section 152: The bill will provide insurance to all non-U.S. residents, even if they are here illegally. Page 58 and 59: The government will have real-time access to an individual's bank account and will have theauthority to make electronic fund transfers from those accounts.

Page 272. section 1145: Cancer hospital will ration care according to the patient's age.

Page 425, line 4-12: The government mandates advance-care planning consultations. Those on Social Security will be required to attend an "end-of-life planning" seminar every five years. (Death counseling..)

And who is the president today? Why be concerned with former presidents and how they rate? Aren't they so yesterday?

Selective memory always makes oneself look good.

Where's Joni Mitchell when you need her?

I've looked at life from both sides now

From WIN and LOSE and still somehow

It's life's illusions I recall

I really don't know life at all

In one sense, Bush's final rating is worse than either Carter's or Truman's, because his disapproval score is significantly higher. Whereas Bush and Carter share identical 34% final job approval ratings, 61% of Americans disapprove of the job Bush is doing, compared with 55% who said they disapproved of Carter in December 1980. Similarly, whereas Bush's final approval rating is slightly higher than Truman's 32% in 1952, his disapproval rating is also higher (61% vs. 56%), resulting in a lower net approval rating for Bush

Only Richard Nixon was explicitly less popular at the time of his exit than Bush is today. Gallup's final approval polling on Nixon, in which 24% of Americans said they approved of the job he was doing, was conducted Aug. 2-5, 1974, less than a week before Nixon resigned from office over the Watergate break-in political scandal

As Obama starts sixth year, 74 percent say US still in recession.

As President Obama starts his sixth year in office, his job ratings remain near record lows and more voters think his policies have hurt rather than helped the economy. And even as voters continue to hold mostly negative views on the economy and the direction of the country, a new Fox News poll finds they see some improvement.

A third of voters say they like both Obama and his policies -- a dramatic drop from 47 percent who felt that way in October 2012. In addition, 62 percent now say they dislike the president’s policies, up from 51 percent the month before his re-election.

Voters aren’t impressed with Obama’s economic policies: while 27 percent think they’ve helped, a 40-percent plurality says they’ve hurt the economy. And another 33 percent don’t think the president’s policies have made much difference either way.

Ex-EPA official told lawmakers of project to 'modify the DNA' of capitalism.

A former high-ranking EPA official who recently was sentenced to prison for fraud told lawmakers last month that, before he left the agency, he was working on a "project" examining ways to "modify the DNA of the capitalist system."

The startlingly blunt comment was included in newly released transcripts of John Beale's deposition before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. One group that is frequently critical of the Obama administration's energy policy, the Institute for Energy Research, said the claim is a "smoking gun" that reveals the administration's true intentions.
