Leith has been targeted for takeover by a white supremacist. What would you do if you lived there?

  1. Protest
  2. Fight it legally
  3. Coexist
  4. Make friends

Naw, Peewee. The cowards need an upper hand to properly feel thrived. (And js, the real Leroys of this world would destroy such a person, n.q.a.) Supremacism's just a flinch from an existential insecurity.

I would invite President Obama to town and have the White Supremacists cook him dinner and sup with him.

They could do a peace pipe thing just for fun.

"I say give him running water and sewage system then raise his property taxes so high that he will be begging to leave. "

If you do it for him, you have to have some standardized means of doing it to everyone else too. Otherwise, he'll sue and win by means of an equal protection case.

"The president, no longer facing re-election, had written off negotiating with GOP leaders. He and his aides resolved that future budget negotiations would be founded on a hard line. If he was going to burnish his legacy, it was most likely to happen through confrontation, not conciliation. Following that vector, the president has prevailed in this round and defended his signature legislative achievement. Obama won office preaching a message of a new kind of bipartisanship, but his domestic legacy will be defined by his partisan victories: passage of the 2009 stimulus bill, the Affordable Care Act, and victory in the shutdown fight of 2013."

Veritas, your imagination runneth away with you...again.

It's not a "villian" analogy. It's a "which man is the president" question.

Is the president a man who "doesn't care whether you're a Democrat, a Republican, or none of the above... he knows that we all love our country?"

Or is he a man who preached "a message of a new kind of bipartisanship, but his domestic legacy will be defined by his partisan victories?"

Is he the great unifier? Or the great divider?

Simple question, in spite of your familiarity with Hanna/Barbera...

"Two people were removed from the Republican National Convention Tuesday after they threw nuts at an African-American CNN camera operator and said, “This is how we feed animals.”

"Multiple witnesses observed the exchange and RNC security and police immediately removed the two people from the Tampa Bay Times Forum.

"The convention released a statement saying, “Two attendees tonight exhibited deplorable behavior. Their conduct was inexcusable and unacceptable. This kind of behavior will not be tolerated."

"CNN also acknowledged the incident, saying, "CNN can confirm there was an incident directed at an employee inside the Tampa Bay Times Forum earlier this afternoon. CNN worked with convention officials to address this matter and will have no further comment.”

RNC was right to remove the offenders immediately.

As a result of RNC's swift action, PJinfinity will never, ever, ever forgive any and all Republicans.

Should I forgive the several lefties who continue to use the disparaging term "tea b*ggers" about fellow Americans?

We all know it's vile terminology. Wouldn't it be nice if somebody from the left "removed" from their ranks those who insist upon using it, like the RNC removed those dolts who disparaged the CNN camerawoman?

IF Democrats were so compassionate and liberally minded, wouldn't it up to them to forgive first, instead of continually dredging up offenses?

Those preaching tolerance should lead the way into tolerance, unless tolerance means something else than what it used to mean.

The Confederate flag doesn't offend or affect me. I'm a North Dakotan, somewhat removed from that flag's particular history. Perhaps the C flag means different things to different people. I'm getting a message that willgrr would want us to abhor not only the flag, but the person who held it, plus the people who allowed him to hold it. Fair enough.

Now back to tea b*gger, which willgrr conveniently forgot to address. Being a bit of a naive North Dakotan, I had no idea initially what that term meant - had to look it up.

Did all the sophisticated lefties here knew what it meant before it became so popular in describing those of a different political bent than they?

If so, why would the tolerant among the lefties allow the term to be used? Do you approve of the term, willgrr? Should we not discard it now that more know how pejorative it is?

Or will you continue to ignore and stand quietly by while others continue to use it?

You promote a double standard, willgrr, in that I should stop those things that are offensive, but you won't stop those things that are offensive.

Tolerance for some, not for all.

willgrr: "Let us please officially declare them to be a terrorist organization, as they have already done more to damage this country than most Al-Qaeda offshoots."

So tolerant. So compassionate. So enlightened.

First Republicans are "mouth-breathers" (courtesy RR) then they morph into terrorists, worse than Al-Qaeda.

It's nice that you're all moving along in the blogosphere attempt to make "Republican" the new curse word. Getting paid for each post?

Who sold the lots to Cobb in the first place? Was it the Mayor??? Did the little town have no ordinances regarding livability of homes before Cobb moved into the house? Did he arrive in town with guns drawn? OR is he just an irritating mouth like RR? ;-)
