The consequences of a shutdown or a default on paying the bills would be probably the biggest folly ever for the Republicans. It would truly establish the fact that they really don't care about the country and are only the mouthpiece for big corporations. I would still like to know why there has been almost Six Hundred Million dollars spent in advertising against the health care bill? If it is so bad, why do anything. Or, is there a fear that it will work, that people will have insurance, and the big corporations will lose their strangle hold on the health care industry. Oh, and then there will be a decrease in political contributions to the Republicans. The party of insignificance is the REpublican party.

Only here would a minority blame Republicans.

I'd have liked to vote for "none of them".

Remember, "we" voted to put these people into office. "We" made all manners of unsustainable demands that brought it to this point. Is blaming politicians merely a ploy to evade responsibility?

Harry Reid and Obama don't know the meaning of compromise.

Its pretty bad when California is sending people to Washington to help with the Veterans files that are buried. Some of their vets have been waiting 160 days to over 360 days for their benefits. Ya, Obama really cares about our vets. I'm sure Obama hasn't missed a paycheck yet.

Dear leader is using his 'laser like focus" this morning giving a speech at the UN that he tried to bypass 2 weeks ago and tell the world how much he cares while using the NSA to spy on them. He has already said he will not compromise with Congress so why bother trying to talk to Congress to solve anything. There must be a golf course around here somewhere.

I won't blame the Republican morons for shutting down the government. I blame the Republican morons that voted for them.

Good on ya, willgrr! Atta boy! Sic 'em!

Unless you're mentally challenged, willgrr, you should already know why you're getting these accolades.

Let The Chips Fall Where They May, said the logger to the tree.

Let The Chips Fall Where They May, said the baker to the cookie dough.

Let The Chips Fall Where They May, said the fryer to the potato slices.

As a result of willgrr's diligence, I don't have to do a thing.

Sweet...

Obama? Could it be Obama who is to blame? Who is to blame if it isn't Obama? He is the nitwit who authored Obama care, so it has to be his fault it bears his name. Who else could it be other than the *******es who voted for him? That would be the *******es in the electoral college. An elephant never forgets.

Veritas, I thought you, of all c/p'ers, could appreciate my post showing the three recent examples of how "nice" some liberals can be.

Like I've already said, willgrr, Veritas, et al have "the other side" well taken care of. Really well. Seriously.

And how sensitive of you, Veritas, to think of your liberal compadres' feelings after I c/p'd them verbatim.

I'm just a cad, I know, when it comes to my conservative compadres.

"Because three is all you got loco..."

Veritas, that statement is just a trifle misleading, isn't it, as if the liberals said ONLY those three examples.

Like you were willing to say about somebody else, there's probably at least a gigabyte of liberals and their "less than friendly" statements at MDN about those who don't share their viewpoint.

namexxx dragged out his tried and true favorite label "Neanderthals" over at the global warming poll question this morning. Such a nice warm&fuzzy for those who don't agree with the scientists like he does...

In plain English, double standards bug me.

Veritas, it's usually me that brings up the "other side" of a viewpoint that isn't stated by an original poster.

Honestly.

"That "other side" is just "YOUR" opinion loco..."

Uh, that's a big DUH, Veritas.

Didn't you know there are usually two sides to an issue or to a viewpoint? And people usually take one side or t'other?

I'm for stating t'other when it hasn't been stated already.

I don't have to worry about stating a liberal side to issues, because that's handily taken care of already, isn't it?

Equal time for all

Let me give an example of what I consider a "double standard"...

What's good for you is not good for me, or Congress exempting itself from laws enacted for the rest of us

I know, I know. That can be scary for some guys.
