Key word is alleviate--run a pipeline to NAWS pipeline and pump it to Bowbells--then listen to the Canadians cry foul.Yes they should help-the question is- what can they do??Maybe run some test irrigation plots.

Well, if you talk to some "old timers", they can remember when in the early 1900's, Rice Lake was dry and you could walk right across it. But then the money hungry realtors and landowners sold low lying lots to poor dump people who build mansions that are now under water. With all the runoff from surrounding fields and the water table, there is not a very good solution to anything being done to alleviate the problem!

Pumping water is not a perminant fix. Then you deal with who maintains the pump, and pays for the fuel. Them not being a municapality out there the responsibility falls on the county. There next step has to be permanent. if not there spending more money then they need to in the long term.

Same old story, those who live high and dry get to pay for those who live under the water and cry why? What a country!
