The property taxes on my house are way too low and I was hoping the city would raise them.
They did! Hallelujah!
I am so happy now!
And I have spoken with other home owners and they all agreed, they all thought that their taxes were way top low and all were just as happy as I was when their homes were assessed to a higher value and their property taxes were increased.
I've never seen such happiness!

Help its happening way out here in the country too. Because we have had decent crop prices for two years now they escalated land prices by double or more. When will there sticky fingers and pockets be full. The government is the only one profiting from all these increases. What the help happened to lowering property taxes and property tax relief? It's crazy and inhumane.

With all the money the state has the first thing that should happen is property tax repeal!! That would be a fair return to all tax payers. But as far as the assessed value being to high, B.S. I will bet there isn't one farmer or home owner that will sell his or her property foe the assessed price!!!

It's a help of a system when the prosecuting Attorneys we hire to protect us are the ones who will prosecute us. The States Attorney's should be on our side if we can file a valid claim, but instead we have to pay for private Attorneys to try to protect our rights and homes.

States lack of action to provide meaningful property tax relief. robbing peter to pay paul--State tax equalization board-needs some limits as to the maximum amount of monies that can be taken by property tax based on "value". ND has a need for proposition 13 --or something similar. The sooner the better!

Exactly. You can't get ahead. I wish you people were as upset about being robbed blind by thieves as you are about Obama using a teleprompter.
I don't know if the State is going to give us some type of property tax relief but there was talk of it. To me it seems the counties and cities are increasing the taxes ahead of the presumed tax relief schedules so in reality the money is just going to the counties and cities anyway. Why don't they quit mentally torturing us and just give the money to the counties and cities and leave us out of the big money grab. Talk about dysfunctional my oh my!!
